I have been handed lemons
A bunch of yellow skinned lemons
And I intend to make good use of them
I will take no abuse from them
I love me a bunch of yellow lemons

I can squeeze the juice right out of them
I can get the zest right off of them
I will squish the pulp until it's dry
And hope no juice gets in my eye
I will use this bunch of yellow lemons

There are some that hate the taste of them
There are some that would never buy them
They would rather never cook with them
They will never ever look at them
But I will never say no to a yellow lemon

Life without lemons would be so boring
Who would have thought it could be so boring
Lemons add such zest and zing
They perk up almost anything
I am thankful for the yellow lemon

If you ever get one handed to you
I hope there is just one thing you'd do
You would find they're very useful
'Cause they're oh so very juice-full
Life needs a little squirt of yellow lemon!
